API Resources Standards Evaluation Group

The API Resource SEG, established by the ISO 20022 Registration Management Group (RMG), plays a crucial role in supporting the registration, development, and maintenance processes of ISO 20022 API resources. These resources are detailed in the ISO 20022 registration procedures available on ISO20022.org. The API SEG collaborates with business Standards Evaluation Groups (SEGs), including any related sub-SEGs and/or Evaluation Teams (ETs), the Technical Support Group (TSG), the Business Model Support Team (BMST), and the ISO 20022 Registration Authority (RA) in fulfilling the following tasks:

• Analyse submissions of ISO 20022 business justifications (BJs) that request the development of ISO 20022 API resources
• Contribute to the review of the BJ, leveraging specific competencies and expertise from the API SEG members in the field of APIs
• Identify optimal approaches for the modelling of ISO 20022 API resources, drawing from existing API best practices in API services. For example, consider methods applicable to each API resource for various states.
• Participate in the maintenance process for existing ISO 20022 API resources and provide recommendations for implementing requested changes, aligning with established modelling best-practices in API services.
